A New Start

I got started on this one during painting class today. I’m about an hour-and-a-half in, and I’m really liking it so far. It’s a bit of a different painting than what I’ve been doing recently - a much cooler color scheme than the past month’s paintings. This one is also a bit bigger than anything recent (except for that enormous lily painting that I really need to get back to at some point, though that one is much bigger than this one too) at about 20”x30” I’m trying to complete this in a more impressionistic manner. Most everything should be dry by next Monday, and I’ll be able to work on it some more. I think the next step will be to get some of the foliage painted in on the right side of the painting.
