A Second Attempt

So upon looking at yesterday's painting again today, I'm actually pretty ok with it. But I still wanted to try a second version of it. I got about as far on the second one as I did the first. So I think I'm gonna try to finish both just to prove to myself that I can. I think this comes back to a thing that I've talked about a few times when it comes to color in painting. You can either start with a lot of saturated colors and grey them down - through mixing and adding desaturated colors over top - or you can start with grey and browns and saturated colors on top. In these examples, yesterday's painting was the first type and today's was the second. Ultimately, I suspect they'll both turn out alright. But I do want to finish them both to see how the process works with both of them.
