A View Through The Leaves
I'm not entirely sure which painting I'm more happy with today. They both felt like they're coming along well. The View Through the Leaves painting is a lot of fiddly little bits of paint, but it's resolving into a really nice painting, if I do say so myself!

The watercolor was pure joy to work on today. The whole process felt like it was done in flow. It was probably the best part of my day. I've gotten most of the painting finished - the only major thing missing is the giant field sprinkler (I know there's a word for those things, but It's currently eluding me).

I'm loving the grassy foreground. The tree-line in the distance is quite nice too. This is a good example of the prep work really helping the painting come along well. Sketches help with the composition and help understand where the issues with the painting are gonna be. So here are some sketches.
