Alva Sleeping

I did this sketch from a photo of our cat - Alva - sleeping. I would very much like to draw him from life, but cats seem to have a sixth-sense for when they’re being watched. Even in their sleep! So any time he feels me looking at him for more than a cursory moment, he opens his eyes, stretches, changes position, and then goes back to sleep. Or he runs off to sleep in peace elsewhere. One day I’ll get him while he’s really deeply asleep though, and draw a quick life sketch of him… One day…
