Bricks and Pavers

Sometimes, sometimes I just like the way something looks and want to sketch it. Not because I think it'd make a good painting (though it probably would). But because I want to spend some time with whatever the thing is. Because it's cool. And probably weird. In this case, it was the pattern of bricks and pavers in a garden path. But it's also been a particular cloud in the sky, or the sweeping branches of a specific tree. The casual, languid pose of a cat. It's all just fun to really take some time to stop and look at. Really look at and see.
