Cloudscape
I found this awesome cloudscape from our trip up to Grand Rapids last weekend. The whole image reminds me a bit of some Northern European paintings from the late 19th and early 20th century. Gustave Klimt and Akseli Gallen-Kallela. The cloud/land/water motifs are strong with this one. It wasn't until I was working on the sketch that I made the connection, but now I really want to try my hand at a painting like this too. So I've got a few days of down-time and I think I might give it a try.
