Color Sketch

In preparation for a larger painting of Ceecee in the garden that I'm starting tomorrow, I worked on a color study today. Yesterday was the pencil sketch, today the color sketch. I'm thinking I've still gotten the head wrong, but I'm liking having applied color to the image. And I think the cat will be taller than this in the full painting anyways. So I think perhaps the sketch has done its job helping me plan the final painting. Or I'll mess that one up tomorrow too! We'll just have to wait and see!
