Color Study

I turned yesterday's composition sketch into today's digital color sketch. I think one of my favorite things about a grey day is trying to figure out where you can find color sneaking in. I love pushing a little bit of extra blue into the shadows of the snow, or a bit of yellow into the snow of the rooftops. It's also fun beginning to play with edges. Crisp edges on many of the trees, softer edges on the trees at the far end of the field, and the cast shadows of the snow in the foreground.
