Face Off

Here's the result of my Face-off portrait. It was a fun evening. Getting to paint portraits from life with a bunch of other artists while hundreds of people mill around and watch is always a fun and challenging evening. I love the interactions with everyone, and getting to chat with people as they watch a portrait come together. The live music was fun too. It ranged from classical to experimental didgeridoo stuff. I kinda wish I'd been able to paint all the other models too, but with three hours, I got a quick drawing done to get a feel for the model and then jumped right into this painting. Between the painting and the chatting, time was up before I knew it.
