Flowers and Weeds

So instead of finishing yesterday's flower painting, I decided to start a new flower painting. This is a scene from an overgrown patch of lawn at the house up north that I photographed last summer. I really liked the sheer green-ness of this one. I thought it would be fun to paint a variety of greens across most of the painting, and add a few brown, yellow and purple accents to really bring the piece together. I also like how loose the painting is currently. When I get around to working on it a second time, I hope I don't kill that looseness.
