Foggy Wetlands

Today‘s painted sketch was inspired by a camping trip from last fall - our drive home afterwards was a beautifully foggy affair. I snapped a few photos as we drove along a chain of lakes. I loved the muted overcast tones and thought maybe one day I’d get around to painting it. Turns out, today was that day. I love the way the initial wash dripped down the canvas! And of course I couldn’t help myself, I had to add a few spots of color in the water plants.
