For the Love of Bikes

It was such a lovely day today - clear skies and warm temperatures! Hannah was out with friends for a girls day, so I hopped on my bike this afternoon and took a leisurely and extended bike ride for a few hours. The world is a different place on a bike, for sure! Especially once campus has mostly emptied out for the summer. The Rhododendron, in particular, were out in full force today, and I snapped quite a few photos of them, as well as anything else that caught my eye. So this evening I did a quick sketch from the photos, just trying to understand the basic forms. And the header sketch is a quick ode to my trusty bike of nearly 15 years now, too.
