Further Along
I'm getting closer to finishing this one. Bit by bit. I think it was another "just chip away at it" sorta day. Adding brushwork to the emerging tapestry of the painting. I'm starting to figure out the shoreline and background on the right side, and that's definitely progress. Not so much visible progress, but you gotta start somewhere. Another pass on the face has helped the likeness too. Overall aspects of the painting are starting to tighten up. Obvious mistakes are getting corrected and helping reveal other mistakes. Things are getting more refined. Tomorrow I'll hop back to the Hannah/Alva painting. It's nice to have two paintings to jump between - it helps to not get burned out.
