Give me a Hand, or Two...

I woke up today and thought "It would be fun to paint some hands today...". Hands are generally pretty difficult - I think they're often more difficult than faces. So the odd bit of practice is always a good idea. I started with the hand on the right - the one signaling "three". That one went pretty smoothly. By the time I got to the second one, the color had gotten a bit muddy, and the pose for the hand is a bit more subtle. I think it needed a bit more work to feel quite right. Don't get me wrong - it still looks like a hand. It's just missing some aspect of confidence and clarity that the first one has. But hey, that's what practice is for...
