Hannah & Alva

I got to draw some of my favorite people this evening. I found this photo I took of Hannah and Alva when looking through stuff to draw for tonight. I was pretty happy with the drawing of Alva until I drew in his cute little face. It's... not so cute in the drawing... But you know what - sometimes you learn more from making bad drawings than you do from making good ones. Failures tend to cement themselves a little stronger in my head, and then I have to think a bit about how I could do a better drawing next time I try. And a sketchbook should be a place where you can just draw - and learn from successes and mistakes. So I'm gonna choose to treat this as a learning experience. And I'm gonna choose to share this not-so-great drawing with you too. Sorry.
