Moonrise Over US2
There's a stretch of US 2 that runs through the U.P., along the upper end of Lake Michigan. Usually We drive along this route during the late morning or early afternoon. This particular time, we happened to be passing through at about sunset, with the moon having just risen. The sunset hitting the clouds as well as the silvery ascending moon made an already always-beautiful scene all the more marvelous. And of course such a scene when experienced by a painter, will most certainly be turned into at least one painting.
This is one of the paintings from that experience.
