Old House Silhouette

Last week while I was looking for “houses to paint” - it was a thing, I’m not entirely sure why - I found this old picture from up at my grandpa’s house. I love a good silhouette. So I got started on this one today. It’s gonna be a weird one for me, I think. I’m gonna try to finish it next week during my “Finishing Stage of Painting focus for next week. But there’s a bunch of stuff I want to try during the finish of it. Particularly glazes. I think I really wanna try some different glazes in certain areas of this one to try and push the gem-like colorful qualities of oil paint. Glazes aren’t something that I usually do much of, so it’ll be fun trying to re-learn how to properly glaze again.
