On Finishing Paintings

This next week I’ll be focusing on finishing paintings. I‘m starting by messing around with the painting of Grandpa‘s house in Procreate. I wanted try the lighting scheme I’m angling for digitally before I committed to it in paint. There’s no light in the windows in the photo reference, but I’m a sucker for those lit-up windows whenever I can manage to get them into a painting. I like the way the painting is looking, but I’m willing to bet it’ll look even better in paint. Everything always looks better in physical paint.
