Oops.

So I got home today with every intention of finishing up the apple tree painting, decided to do a quick test on a different piece of canvas before starting, and ended up with this about an hour later. So the apple tree painting will have to wait for some other time, and I‘ve got this one to finish up now, too.

This painting is from a reference I took a few years ago on lake superior, on a trip to the UP with some friends. We went to the lake for sunset, and witnessed one of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve ever seen in my life. Hopefully the painting in it’s final state shows the grandeur of the experience.
