Orchid You Not

I wanted something a bit different tonight, and I haven't done any floral sketches or paintings since it was warm out. So I found this orchid image from my stock of reference images. Every few years I'll do an orchid painting, but I honestly don't remember if I've ever done any prep sketches or drawings before. This was a fun sketch to do - I got to focus on the general "orchid" shape in the drawing, and I think I learned a bit more about the flowers.
