Peony Practice

I was making pizza tonight and looked out into the garden to see that the peonies are forming. They're probably a few weeks out yet, but it got me thinking that I should start prepping for my annual poppy painting. So I typed "Poppies" into my photo app, and hundred of photos of the poppies from past years populated. I found some interesting ones from a few different photos and made some sketches. It was a fun sketching session. I think I might try to get a few more sketching sessions in before that two or three day window of time where the peonies have popped, before the petals drop from the stalks.
