Portrait Class

Wednesday night, as we have previously established, is portrait night. I got three portrait sketches in.

Each one was a bit looser, flowed a bit more readily for me, and allowed me to experiment a bit. I got some new canvas, and wanted to see if it handled any differently right off the roll or with an additional coat of primer.

The first two sketches were done with the extra primer, and the third was with the canvas as-is.

There’s no visible difference, but I actually think I like the canvas without further amendments.
