Scraping back the Paint
I got a whole lot of nothing done, drawing-wise today. Well, that’s not quite true. I did a thing that I often forget to do if I’m going to be taking a break from a painting for a day or two. I scraped the thicker bits of paint off the Alva part of the painting that I was working on yesterday. This leaves most everything still on the painting, but provides a smoother surface for the next layer of paint to go over, so there are less thick globules of paint to have to contend with painting over when I do the next pass of paint on Alva. I also forgot to post this quick sketch of a rosebush and garden cosmos that I did yesterday, so I’m including that tonight as well, as I really like drawing it.
