Snow On A Back Road, Completed

I've heard that a painting is never finished - only abandoned. Even so, I think I've finished this painting. Finishing paintings is always such a hard thing for me - I'm never quite sure what to do. But this time I followed my own advice, and just started with the easiest thing I could see that I thought needed painting. Then on to the next easiest thing. 45 minutes or so later, and I'm pretty happy with the "finished" result. Could I do more? Yes. But I'm growing more and more to think that "finished" in painting is simply the point at which you are happy enough with the painting to let it exist in the world as it is.
