Sooner Or later You Won't Have to Keep Seeing This Painting

But not today. Today I'm gonna talk about how I spent some more time figuring out the background - especially the water on the right. I think that while there's still some actual paint that needs to be applied, the overall problem has been solved. And that's what painting (and I imagine most other disciplines) is - problem solving. Most of the technical stuff is relatively easy to learn in relation to the two big things - learning to really see things, and problem solving.

I'm also trying to re-prioritize my sketchbook habit, so I did a quick sketch of this flatbed truck on my break this morning. The back looks a bit droopy in my sketch though.I guess I just need to do a bit more consistent sketching to get back into proper drawing shape. I'll see if I can keep it up.
