Spring Growth

Last year just as the leaves filled in on the trees, we wandered down to one of our favorite hiking spots. We happened to startle a few deer out in the field, but only startled enough to run a few hundred feet and turn back to watch us. I pretty immediately created this painting, but I didn't really get around to finishing the sky. So I painted in the sky this afternoon, and filled in a few little bits that could be improved. I really like how the sky turned out - the transition from warm horizon to cool height of the sky.
