Surprise! Surprise Lillies!

So yeah, I had enough fun yesterday with the sketch of the "Surprise Lillies" that I thought I'd give them a chance as a painting. Naturally I'm struggling, as I always do with floral paintings, but I have a theory about that. I'll report back on that once my theory is (hopefully) confirmed. Until then, please enjoy the opening stages of this painting.
