Sycamore Sketch

We went for a walk out in the woods this afternoon. Wandering down a dirt road along the edge of the woods, heard a woodpecker high up in a tree. We turned to find the Bird, only to really notice the tree. A huge old sycamore tree, towering above the rest of the trees in the wood. The woodpecker was high enough up that we couldn't actually locate it, but by then we were fully enamored with the tree. I snapped some photos and we wandered into the woods proper, along the creek and got swarmed by mosquitoes. It's been itchy ever since, but the walk was totally worth it.
