The Apple Tree Pt. 1

I started a painting of the view towards the back of the property this evening, focusing specifically on a (now) wild apple tree. I liked the pillar of cloud towering over the trees. - the echoes of form in the land and sky. The little shed on the right that I’ve started loosely painting in is a hut my uncle made when he was in high school. It’s Falling apart but still looks so neat. I got the primary focal point - the apple tree - close to finish. I’m hoping to finish the clouds, which are basically just the white of the paper, finished tomorrow. from there I’ll figure out what other elements of the painting I want to push further and what I like as is.
