This Deer painting

I’ve been filming my painting process for a few years, with the intent of beginning to make films talking about painting and art-making. Last summer, Hannah and I came across this scene on our morning drive to work. I was able to get a few pictures and a quick video. I then spent a while painting this painting, and an even longer while actually putting the film together trying to figure out how to make films in general. Here are both the painting and the film.

This painting will also be on view at the Box Factory for the Art’s MAAC show, starting May 16th, 2025.
