Tree Sketch

Trees always look so skeletal to me, after they lose their leaves. I love how much character trunks and branches can convey once you can see them. Michigan farmland has this fun thing where you'll often see a single big tree just standing in the middle of a field. I'm sure this happens a lot of other places as well but I can, with confidence, say it's a pretty common feature here in southwest Michigan. This tree sits smack in the middle of a field on our way to/from the farm we get our CSA box from. The photo reference is a bit blurry, but it was clear enough to get a decent quick sketch out of.
