Two Portraits
I got my first painting (see below) done at about the half-way mark of our portrait session tonight, so I relocated to a bit of a profile scene and began another one. The second one (above) turned out very well. The first one did too, but the second one was so lose and fluid in execution, and I had already gotten a lot of issues figured out with the first one, so the second one felt like it just flowed out of the brush. It was a really great night! Good thing too, as I'm doing a live portrait demonstration along with about 15 other artists at The Box Factory in a little over a week, and I want to be as ready as possible before the event.
