View From Sugar Loaf
Today was a lazy reading walking random maintenance sorta day. Amidst all that laziness I got around to trying to paint yesterday’s view from Sugar Loaf. I started out with quite a limited palette of colors, and let myself free a bit at the end with some brighter blues and greens in the water and trees. They’ve sorta broken the painting a bit, though. I think when I get back to the painting again, I’m gonna unify the lower two thirds with a wash of muted blue. That’s the beauty of watercolor - you can always mute overexcited color with a unifying wash after it’s dry.
