Violas Pt. 2

I got back to working on this painting of Violas from a few days back today. The painting session went fairly well, I think. I think I’d like to spend one more session with this painting, just to bring a few things to a bit more finish. I’d like to make sure the violas are as nice as I can make them, and paint in a bit more leafy-grassy-goodness in the bottom. Those lovely darks could stand to have a few more leaves and grass stalks layered in on top of them. Overall, the structure of the painting got sorted out very well in the first session, and this second session was more about sorting out the details. The third session should just be to dot the i’s and cross the t’s, so to speak.
