Wednesday Nights...
As we all know, Wednesday night is occasionally portrait night. Tonight was one such night. I've been really enjoying getting two portrait studies done - first a 3/4 portrait, and then a profile sketch. It's always amusing to me that the first sketch is always pretty tight - pretty buttoned up and proper. Then the second one is beautifully loose and sloppy! I'd guess there's usually more of a likeness in the first one, but I love the free, looseness of the second one. There's just more spirit in it - and I definitely always have more fun with that one!
