Wednesday Night is Portrait Night…

I’m sure you all know the drill by now - Wednesday night is portrait night. This one was tough. I spent the session hating the portrait and it’s progress every second of the way. I probably wasn’t properly prepped today, and I gave myself a bit of a challenge starting with a brighter red tone than I normally would - it looks a bit more neutral in the photo than it was IRL. All things considered, it’s not a bad portrait. It’s not really a bad painting either. I probably just need to put it away to let it dry and not think about it, and when I eventually get back to it to put it away properly I‘ll be fine with it. That’s usually how it goes.
