Wednesday Night is Portrait Night

I got to go to the Wednesday night portrait session at The Box Factory again tonight - second time in a few months! I realized halfway to class that I'd forgotten any sort of painting medium... Typical. I remembered everything but that one tiny thing. Fortunately, medium isn't required to make a painting, and I resolved to paint with the paint just as it came from the tube. I was pleasantly surprised at the results, as I haven't done this in quite a while! I got through a portrait pretty quickly, and relocated to do another quick profile sketch of our model. All said, things didn't go as nearly as poor as they could have, and I had a lovely time getting back into the portrait painting groove tonight!
