Wooded Path

We’re out of town this weekend, but I found a bit of time to do this Procreate sketch of a path through the woods. I’ve always really liked this scene, but I’ve never made any work based off of it. I like it. I think it would be tough to do a larger, more finished, more fleshed out - a lot of foliage. The best way I’ve found to do a foliage-forward painting is to map out the painting, get a base-layer down, and then put on a show or an audiobook, and paint all the little leaves for dozens of hours. I have to be in the right mindset for that.
