Yesterday’s Lily Sketch Returns

It sure seems unfair that Fridays are often so busy, being the last day of the work-week and all that. I re-purposed yesterday’s lily sketch into a digital painting sketch today, as the day somehow mostly got away from me. It was an interesting experience for me - first the lily sketch from imagination, and then coloring it from memory. These are both aspects of humanity that I value pretty highly, but don’t often use so purposefully in my art practice. I think it was a good thing to do, and while I don’t think it’ll ever be the core of my practice, I think I could stand to integrate more of this sort of exercise into my painting life. And hey, we made it through the week!
